Thank you for contacting Northamptonshire Highways. This query has been forwarded to the Bridge Team, and I can inform you that we had already identified the poor condition of the concrete post and rails through our routine bridge inspections and have a scheme programmed for February 2022 to replace all the post and rails. In addition, the carriageway along this section will be repaired, and we are currently programming this with our surfacing sub-contractor.

Update 21/03/2022: Thank you for your enquiry, and we are pleased to note you are happy with the new post and rails. The surfacing was programmed for 17th February when we closed the road. Unfortunately on the day, we were let down by a plant breakdown with the surfacing sub-contractor and so the works had to be aborted. The surfacing works have now been re-programmed for April, with two visits planned. The first is to resurface the road, and the second is to apply the anti-skid treatment. Advance notice boards will be installed to inform motorists of the dates.Thank you for contacting Northamptonshire Highways.
