It is actually 6 Bollards that are missing from this location. They were there a few days ago so I can only assume that they have been stolen. The ones that are missing all had a small padlock so they could removed which has made it easier for them to be stolen. there is one on the path with a padlock. the other 2 still there were only recently replaced after being crashed into by a Van. I am concerned now that Off Road vehicles will now try to use this area to drive on and try to use it as a cut through.

Having read the acknowledgement of the repair, the 26 week timescale is a concern. In the first year after installation these bollards have been driven into twice by speeding vehicles unable to stop. The second time they where repaired non removable versions where fitted, thus the two not missing. Yesterday two temporary cones had been moved and placed on top of the two permanent bollards, I put them back. My concern is that the temporary cones are removable and nay get taken or moved, this leaves no reflective indicator to approaching vehicles in the dark, lighting at this location is sparse. The result could be a speeding vehicle hitting the stop off in the dark, this is a liability with a grass bank forming a ramp directly beyond and footways and cycle ways on each side. For this reason I would politely request the job be prioritised go public safety. A lot can happen in 26 weeks as vehicles of all categories still travel down this road in error all day, every day. Thank you
