3inch deep, 2ft long in centre of road
Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 14:11, Friday 11 June 2021
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2785297.
From the M1 junction 16 along the A4500 heading towards Northampton, approximately 500 yards before the Premier Inn hotel and just before the slip road to Northampton road at Harpole. The pothole was in the centre of the road. There seems to be lots of road surface damage for about 1/4 of a mile along that particular stretch of road, and one particularly deep hole approximately 3 inches deep. The road surface has been in need of repair for over a year now and has been deteriorating severely since the recent roadworks/upgrade around the new industrial estate being erected. Driving over this has caused extensive damage to the tyre and buckled the alloy wheel
