  • A letter had been sent to the resident a few months ago from the parish council to cut back the conifer trees that are protruding along the footpath by the school causing children to have to walk in the road. Would be grateful if you could please chase up to ensure the pathway is kept clear for pedestrians and school children. Thanks

  • I was coming to report the same. Many branches are sticking out and are at eye height for children. When raining you get wetter as have to brush past the bushes trying to avoid others

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Our team have inspected this site and notified the home owner of their duty to ensure that the highway is kept clear of vegetation overhanging from private properties/businesses. We will re-inspect after 14 days have elapsed.

  • This hedge has still not been trimmed back and is nearly half way over the footpath. Could you please update the Parish Council as to the present situation as the 14 days have more than elapsed since you spoke to the owner.

  • Kids are back to school and this hedge is now worse than ever. Its more overgrown and dangerous to kids and adults as they have to walk in the road which itself is another issue! Branches are at kids eye height and this itself is dangerous.

  • Still causing a problem. Was a nightmare in the rain today.

  • Good afternoon. There appears to be no progress regarding this issue and the hedge is growing considerably close to the road meaning parents and children are finding it difficult to access the pavement and having to use the road, a dangerous situation. The homeowner has cut back hedge inside and to the front of the property both sides, but not the outside to the footpath. The Parish Council would be grateful if you would deal with issue as an emergency. Could the work be carried and issue the home owner with the invoice? Please resolve this issue ASAP before an accident to a child occurs. thank you

  • As can be seen by the number of updates on this issue STILL nothing has changed and the hedge is growing bigger and now covers half of the path. Can you please cut and bill the resident as he seems unable to do this although has cut the inner hedge? The Parish Council have delivered several letters but to no avail.

  • We are pleased to confirm that the site has been revisited and the overgrown vegetation has now been attended to. Thank you for your patience on this matter.
