Dangerous overhanging trees and weeds

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2807068.

Overhanging trees onto the public footpath which cannot be walked along without stooping or walking on the the grass verge, there is also an abundance of ground level weeds which obstruct the path and cause a trip hazard. There are various thorny bushes and trees which urgently need to be trimmed back. Please contact the property owner to instruct them to remove the danger or send a council team to keep the public foot path clear.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Our team have inspected this site and notified the home owner of their duty to ensure that the highway is kept clear of vegetation overhanging from private properties/businesses. We will re-inspect after 14 days have elapsed to check that the vegetation has been cleared and arrange for any further works such as weed killing or footway repairs to be undertaken.
