Tree branches blocking footpath

A resident has reported that in the recent bad weather some large tree branches have come down from the line of trees between the moat on Castle Fields and Midland Road and are blocking some of the footpath.

  • Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the footpath adjacent to Midland; specifically that you feel the surface has been blocked by fallen tree debris. We appreciate your comments and have carried out a further assessment of the issue and are pleased to confirm that the footway defects that meet the specifications for remedial work you have indicated in this location, have a repair scheduled to resolve them. This should hopefully be completed within a days’ time. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded.
