Outside Bosworth Independent College

Reported via desktop in the Blocked Ditch category anonymously at 13:24, Monday 21 June 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2807615.

There a several drains that are blocked on the road directly outside the College building which then causes extensive water pooling and subsequent flooding down a steep bank leading to our car park. It also affects the footpath which means pedestrians are forced to cross a very busy and hazardous road.

  • Yet again with the rain the road and footpath is totally flooded and water is pouring down in to our car park. Pedestrians cannot pass safely and cars a speeding trough the water and causing a significant hazard.

This needs dealing with ASAP before a major accident or incident occurs. The front entrance to the college is underwater so those accessing have no other option but to get soaking wet feet going through it.

Please can you contact me directly to confirm this will dealt with.

  • Thank you for your further comments. Our drainage team attended here on 29th of July and all found all the drains to be working. We can confirm that this matter has also been reported to our Street Cleaning teak for the debris on the carriageway and footway there, as we believe that the leaf debris is responsible for the majority of the blockages here . We can confirm that the reference number is REP 093603.
