Concerns over tree on land adjacent to 33 Northampton Road, Towcester

Towcester Town Council has received a report raising concerns over a tree on land adjacent between the boundary wall of 33 Northampton Road and the public footpath. There are roots from the tree present in the footpath, which is a trip hazard and the owner of 33 Northampton Road is concerned these may also pose a risk to the property. An inspection of the tree is required to determine the best course of action.

  • Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the footpath adjacent to Northampton Road; specifically that you feel the surface has been disrupted by tree roots and is presenting a trip hazard. We appreciate your comments and have carried out a further assessment of the issue and are pleased to confirm that the footway defects that meet the specifications for remedial work you have indicated in this location, have a repair scheduled to resolve them. This should hopefully be completed within a months’ time. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded.
