Overgrown/overhanging tree problems

Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 13:17, Thursday 24 June 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2815559.

Re public footpath from Vine Hill Close, Higham Ferrers, to Riverside Park adjacent to no 20 Vine Hill Close, NN10 8EH. The footpath is very overgrown with brambles and weeds and there is a tree leaning across it from a garden at the end of Meadow Close. There are sharp branches sticking out at adult eye level, and my husband had his face cut by one yesterday, and I have had my face and upper arms scratched by the brambles. The path is also very dangerous in wet weather as the down pipe from the garage at 20 Vine Hill Close discharges into the alleyway and the water had cut a channel in the path, running downhill into Riverside Park, making it very slippery especially on the lower half where there are a lot of exposed roots
