Build up of dirt from windingbrook lane which I assume is coming from all the lorries and heavy vehicles from the new homes being built.

My house has already been flooded a few years ago from blocked drains so this needs to be looked at swiftly please. As well as a conversation with the house builders before it gets worse (if it is their vehicles causing it)

  • Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the drains on Augusta Avenue; specifically that you feel they are blocked and potentially pose a flooding risk. Whilst we appreciate your comments and frustration, we have carried out an investigation and can confirm that there are no immediate safety concerns evident. However, we are pleased to confirm that cyclic cleansing of the drains and gullies in this area will commence in the near future (within the next six months). In some cases, we are able to attend before this prospective time; however, at this time, we have no further information other than the timeframe given above. For further information, please refer to: https://www.northamptonshire.gov.uk/ councilservices/ northamptonshire-highways/ roads-and-streets/ Pages/ highway-drainage.aspx We will be spending out a roadsweeper today to clear the mud and debris off of the road surface.
