Footpath unsafe, potholes and overgrown

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2835805.

The footpath from Ecton village down towards Overstone is dangerous. The path needs clearing and made wider plus repairing. It is total overgrown and you have to walk in the road which is very dangerous. Please sort as soon as possible

  • Saturday. This footpath is used regularly and is totally blocked by nettles etc. It has not been mowed once this year !! Very dangerous when pedestrians have to walk in the road.

  • Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the footpath adjacent to Ecton Lane; specifically that you feel it is overgrown and is a hazard for pedestrians. We appreciate your comments and have carried out a further assessment of the issue and are pleased to confirm that the footway defects that meet the specifications for remedial work you have indicated in this location, have a repair scheduled to resolve them. This should hopefully be completed within a months’ time. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded.
