Drain Blocked Outside 329 Wellingborough Road Causing Flooding after Rainfall

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2847165.

This report links with Ref 2800504. The drain is blocked and after rainfall, the water floods the road and leaks into the cellar of 329 Wellingborough Road. This was reported and the work was completed on 18.06.21 but the issue is still there, please can this be re-investigated.

  • k you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of a drain on this section of Wellingborough Road. We note with regret, that you feel it is blocked with mud and causing potential flooding issues. We have carried out an assessment of the problem and are pleased to confirm that the issue you have indicated in this location, has a works order to investigate, clean and test the gully. This should hopefully be completed within a months’ time. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded. With regard to the rainwater channels on the footways, these are the responsibility of the adjacent private landowners to maintain.
