Damaged path causing trip hazard

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2848142.
The path alongside Main Street is badly cracked and broken. It is now invaded by weeds that are further damaging the tarmac. The broken surface and especially the weeds growing through it are a trip hazard on this main pathway in the centre of the village.

Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the footpath adjacent to Main Street; specifically that you feel the surface is damaged and causing a trip hazard for pedestrians. We appreciate your comments and have carried out a further assessment of the issue and are pleased to confirm that the footway defects that meet the specifications for remedial work you have indicated in this location, have a repair scheduled to resolve them. This should hopefully be completed within six months’ time. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded.
