Sunken pathway & raised ironworks

Email 1 of 3 The pathway has sunken by 18.5cm from the road to the manhole cover. This has left both the manhole cover and another cover raised and a potential trip hazard. Please see emails 2 and 3 of 3 for pictures. The path has sunken that much that we are unable to access our driveway with one car and the other has been damaged by the raised manhole cover.

We understand that you have concerns about the condition of Mapperley Drive; specifically, that you feel there is a sunken path and raised ironworks, which presents a trip hazard to pedestrians. We appreciate your concerns and have carried out an assessment of the issue and are pleased to confirm that the carriageway defects, that meet the specifications for remedial work that you have indicated in this location, has a repair scheduled to resolve them. This should be completed within a months’ time. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded.
