The tree has become very large overhanging foot path and overshadowing houses and is looking distressed,las year a large part broke and almost hit our house

Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. Whilst we appreciate and understand your concern, we have conducted a visit to the location and confirm that the road and pathway is clear for the highway user. Therefore, no further action will be taken at this point. However, in the meantime, we can advise that; should a tree encroach over into a property boundary, a resident can cut a tree back to their property line as per common law.
