Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the vegetation on Towcester Road. We understand feel that the current state of the vegetation restricts pedestrians and reduces visibility. Whilst we appreciate your comments, the location of the hedges you have identified are not on the adopted highway and is within someone’s private residence. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the private landowner to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Nevertheless, we have written to the resident requesting that their vegetation is cut back from the footway within the next 14 days. A re-visit will be carried out 14 days after that.
