  • Unfortunately we are receiving a high number of enquiries relating to overgrown vegetation at this present time which is causing some delays to our works schedule. We will ensure that this path is cleared as soon as possible.

  • With no change on this overgrown footpath, we are now approaching autumn and this footpath has been unusable by families throughout the summer. I hope work can be scheduled earlier next year. This situation is clearly unsatisfactory.

  • There has been ZERO change in the two months since this was reported. The pathway has been impassable throughout the summer for families without protective clothing and the danger of nettle stings with teasels and thistles at children's eye level.

  • I can confirm that clearance works have been instructed for this location. However, due to the presence of an invasive species this needs to be cleared first before we can undertake further clearance works. Clearance works will be carried out during the Autumn.

  • "Clearance works will be carried out during the Autumn." But Autumn has come and gone. The path is now a muddy groove. OK in fine weather, but slippery after rain. In previous years, walkers have used the full width (8ft?) and found fresh grass to walk on. Walking is restricted to the muddy, slippery and uneven groove at present, requiring great care not to be thrown into the nettles.....

  • Thank you for your enquiry. I can confirm that some routes such as this public footpath have a natural surface and these can vary with location, the weather conditions and the seasons. It is inevitable that the ground conditions along some paths may increasingly become wet and muddy. I can confirm that clearance works have already been instructed for this location. We will continue to monitor the conditions of this path.
