Deep cavity appearing under small hole in road surface
Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 08:25, Mon 19 July 2021
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2873846.
There is depression in the road surface at the edge of the pedestrian crossing markings. It has a small 6 inch across hole at the centre. The hole has a deep cavity underneath it around 6 to 8 inches deep and is much larger than the surface hole. The thin crust of tarmac will collapse into the hole with severe consequences when it does.
