Blocked surface road drain

Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 17:06, Wednesday 28 July 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2897787.

The torrential rain / hailstorm today caused a 'river' to run down St Michels Mount and onto Henry Street covering all pavements and the road - the depth of the water came up to my doorstep. The drain on the corner is completely blocked and hasn't been cleared for several years (as per photo's) and I fear a repeat of Wellingborough floods if nothing is done! Please come out ASAP to clear this and any other blocked drains in the area, before thee water enters homes.

  • There has been no actual progress nor 'action' with the completely blocked surface drain on the corner of St Michael's Mount and Henry Street! I attach pictures again of the solid packed mud, gravel and now plants in the drain! We have rains forecast for the end of this week and I am very concerned that my house and others will flood as a result. Please note that this is the 3rd time I have posted an update since 28th July with pictures at each stage! This problem has NOT been resolved within the month indicated! Please Sort!
