Flood risk from badly blocked drain
Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 21:52, Thu 29 July 2021
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2900783.
Following my last report you said that the drain would be cleaned. The drain was in fact cleaned last week (22nd July) but as you can see from the photo simply cleaning is not enough. It floods every time there is moderate to heavy rain and whilst I am not an expert it is obvious it needs a more thorough investigation as it may be collapsed or block further down.
It is a potential problem as our property lies lower than the road and on occasion (not this one) it has been within an inch or so of spilling over into our driveway.
The issue has been there for a number of years, you have always resorted to cleaning and cleaning has never worked.

This a very large pot hole as well as a blocked drain drain. It requires urgent action as it has been like this for some weeks and previous works have failed.
