A number of drains blocked on Main Street
Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 09:39, Wed 4 August 2021
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2913191.
Many of the road drains between approximately opposite the Garage near Cross Lane to outside the Village Hall are blocked so that when there any heavier rain at all the road and pathway are flooded. This was the case on 30 July, following rainfall. Earlier in the year one of the houses has also been flooded due to ineffective drains (this was reported in January see ref 2485400). Another report has also been made about these blocked drains (ref 2510432), and action has, I think yet to be taken on these. The endemic drainage issues affecting Main Street and Cross Street have also been reported directly to North Northants Council via Aldwincle Parish Council and will be subject to follow up meetings and action.
