Thanks for reporting this a site visit has been made and we will arrange for the ditch to be filled with some pipe in the bottom so that there is a good turning area. This work should be completed within the next 3 months

According to a local rider - this issue still hasn’t been fixed - highways update on 5.8.21 stated would be fixed within 3 months. I have exited this gate on horseback myself and it’s practically impossible to close the gate from the field beyond and then turn round as the exit is very narrow due to ditches either side. From a safety point of view this gate is not possible to close behind you on horseback, it is better to leave it open rather than risk falling into the ditches either side in an attempt to close it.
