Footbridge to access path DM4 across field from Old Road destroyed following vehicle crash

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2925931.

RTA 10 days ago attended by Police and Ambulance where vehicle left road on bend between Scaldwell and Old on Old Road- destroyed the newly replaced footbridge giving access to the footpath Reference DM4 .....access to the footpath is now not possible - requires replacement

  • The repairs do not yet seem to have been carried out which is now nearly 4 months ago....please advise when this job will be completed so safe access to the path can be restored.

  • Just wondering if you can advise when the repairs will be completed - we are nearly 5 months since this was logged and repairs were advised would take 3 months many thanks Phil

  • Thanks for reporting this a site visit has been made and we will now be arranging for a new bridge to be installed within the next 3 months. Apologies for the delay in the work being completed, there has been contractor issues that has now been resolved and we intend the the work will be completed by the end of March.
