  • Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the vegetation on Towcester Road; specifically that it is overgrown. Whilst we appreciate your comments, the location of the vegetation that you have identified is not on the adopted highway. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the private landowner to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Nevertheless, we have written to the landowner requesting that the vegetation is cut back within the next 14 days. We will endeavour to revisit the site following the two weeks’ notice period.

State changed to: not the council's responsibility

  • Further to your enquiry, our inspector visited the site on 14th October, but unfortunately the private landowner has not attended to the vegetation. We have now passed this on to Regulations for formal enforcement action. Thank you for your continued patience on the matter.
