Dangerous footpath leading down to a busy corner

Reported via desktop in the Slabs - Uneven / Damaged / Cracked category anonymously at 07:58, Friday 17 September 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3006954.

At the foot of Vyse Road as it joins Church Street the busy through road is narrow and only has footpath on one side (the left as you head down hill) This footpath due to excessive cars and lorries mounting it is in a dangerous state of repair. The edging stones are uneven and the pavement surface is holed and highly uneven - this could easily lead to trips and ankle rolls. Elderly residents in the village find the path dangerous but due to the nature of the busy road they cannot walk on the road - nor should they have to. One elderly neighbour has already had a fall and this dangerous path needs to be fixed with priority before a more serious accident occurs.
