  • This blocks up most years and NCC send out a cutting machine to clear tree roots from the surface water drain pipe. There are insufficient manhole cover access points for residents to be able to rod the drain effectively. Previously NCC have put die down to show the route of the water. It backs up outside 106 and is currently very stagnant. NCC put a pipe under the road in recent years which diverts most of the water off the fields to the ditch opposite and this helps but there’s enough coming off the immediate fields to still flood

  • Thank you

Previously it’s been necessary for NCC to use a cutter of some kind to get through tree roots blocking the surface water pipe, just jetting failed ? Please note that it’s also quite some distance from the ditch to the next access hatch, probably 3-4 houses !
