Overhanging vegetation interfering with the cycleway

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3008522.

At various points along this stretch between the 30mph signs and the layby the branches of the trees on the embankment are growing over the cycleway. At these points cycles can no longer pass each other.

  • Thank you for your further comments. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of cycleway in this area of the A428; specifically, that you feel it has been obstructed by vegetation. We can confirm a works order has been raised to cut back the overhanging bushes, in the next six months, under our maintenance programme. Usually, we find these defects are tended to by 13 weeks. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded.
