Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3008689.
The speed signs (30mph/national speed limit) have recently been relocated further away from the Roade village to be located on the crest of the humped bridge (first bridge leaving Roade on Ashton Road) and the hedgerow vegetation is overgrown and significantly restricting visibility. Hedgerows are in need of cutting back to improve visibility.

Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about vegetation covering a speed sign on Ashton Road. Whilst we appreciate your comments, the location of the vegetation that you have identified is not on the adopted highway. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the private landowner to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Nevertheless, we have written to the landowner requesting that the vegetation is cut back from the footway within the next 14 days. We will endeavour to revisit the site following the two weeks’ notice period.
