Overgrown Cherry tree 5/7/9 Orlingbury Road

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3013954.

This Cherry is a magnificant specimen producing pink flowers and cherries. It has been allowed to become overgrown, obstructing viewing when entering or leaving the driveways of No 7 and no 9. It takes light from No.7 A large segment has died and is hanging down. It has expanded in to at least three domestic telephone cables. In large winds it is beginning to affect reception. Needs TLC with someone who knows how to pollard correctly. This is not the first time this has been raised

  • Two gentlemen appeared the other day and made a cosmetic change to the lower branches. However the rest of the requirment has still to be addressed. The reduction in height and the removal of a dead major branch hanging from the main trunk. The telephone lines are still in the canopy of the tree. The men that did the trim tell me that they were not allowed not cut anything thicker than their thumb. This tree still needs proper pollarding treatment.
