Manhole cover damaged

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3017287.

Manhole cover on the corner of Albion Place and Park Road is damaged and very ill fitting, is raised from the road. Customer tripped over and fallen and hurt herself badly

  • Another manhole cover next to this is raised approx. 2" - this one was replaced approx. 6 weeks ago but replaced incorrectly.

We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the manhole cover on the corner of Albion Place and Park Road, and are sorry to hear about the incident on this pathway; we hope the person is ok. Whilst we appreciate and sympathise with your comments, we can confirm that there are no immediate safety concerns relating to this issue that warrant further investigation or repair at this time. However, please be assured that we will continue to monitor the area as part of our routine inspections.
