Hedge blocking beacon on crossing
Reported via desktop in the Weeds category anonymously at 15:07, Fri 24 September 2021
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3022973.
There is a zebra crossing on lake avenue in kettering. the orange flashing beacon on one side of the road it totally obscured by an overgrown hedge. the crossing is predominantly used by children attending hall meadow primary school. i have witnessed a number of cars regularly speeding down lake avenue, straight over the crossing despite children and adults waiting to cross. i feel as a minimum the hedge needs to be cut back to reveal the beacon, but also a police presence at school drop off and pick up would be a useful reminder to drivers to slow down.
