Sharp Kerbs Cut Tyres

Reported via desktop in the Damaged/Loose category anonymously at 14:36, Wednesday 29 September 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3032289.

Please can you repair the curbs outside my house as they are cutting our tyres which we then need to replace. I can see you have done this already up our road for the council houses, but left ours.

  • Thank you for fixing the broken stone but you haven’t actually fixed the problem. The smooth kerbs are needed not repaired sharp ones, as these will just continue to damage our tyres and the alloys, particularly when people are parked on the other side and we need to drive in on a angle. Please can we have the same smooth kerbs as you have put in front of the council houses in Furnace Lane.

  • Thanks for your response, it’s not clear what you plan to do, the first half of your update says you are arranging a repair and the second half says you have no money and are monitoring the situation. Please confirm so I can escalate if needed. Also just to be clear my concern is outside my home not all of Furnace Lane. We just need to know if you are going to put smooth kerbs in front of our home to stop the ongoing damage to our vehicles. Thank you in advance.

  • Please can you reply to my questions rather than just close this down - I am assuming that was an error and not rudeness. Can you also let me know how I get claim forms for my tyres and what your complaints procedure is. Thanks in advance.
