Double Yellow lines badly faded Pomfret

Reported via desktop in the Road Markings - Worn/Faded category anonymously at 18:33, Saturday 2 October 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3038132.

The double yellow lines on either side of Pomfret road at the junction with Brackley Road have faded badly.

This has lead to parking on either side on the road and even around the bend. Cars are often parked with four wheels on they public footpath.

Would it be possible to have these yellow lines reinstated, together with bollards top prevent vehicles being park fully on the public footpaths.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. We have raised a works order to refresh the double yellow lines at the junction. We are unable to provide a timescale for delivery as road markings can only be laid in fair weather, in addition to this in order to maximise resources we tend to batch road markings together. With reference to your request for bollards we would require the support of the Town Council before considering this request. It may be prudent to request enforcement action via our parking team using the following email address; parking.ncc@westnorthants.gov.uk
