Markings changed after road resurface

Reported via desktop in the Road Markings - Worn/Faded category anonymously at 11:05, Thursday 14 October 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3061979.

A while back the junction where Park Road meets the High Street was resurfaced following conversion of the Horseshoe Inn into houses.

After the road resurfacing took place the double yellow lines that were present were Tarmac'd over and moved/shortened to their current state. With Cars now able to park closer to the junction it makes getting up and down the road difficult during busy times as only one side of the road is usable. In addition with the double yellows barely being a cars length from the junction both roads can often become blocked when there is a car waiting to turn out of the junction.

The attached image shows remnants of how far the old line stretched back from the junction and you can see how far the markings moved following the resurfacing job.
