Brambles growing onto footpath And over one way sig

A large area of bramble is taking over an area of verge, but is now encroaching onto the public footpath and beginning to obscure a one way sign.

  • Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of this sign and the footpath on Blackpot Lane; specifically that you feel it is obscured by vegetation. We appreciate your concerns and can confirm the growth is programmed to be cut back, in the next six months, under our maintenance programme. Usually, we find these defects are tended to by 13 weeks.

  • The overgrowing brambles and in particular the IVY need to be cut back severely as there is not room for pedestrians to pass one another AND this section is right by the regular pedestrian route to and from Waitrose via the road island. PLEASE DO NOT DELAY in trimming back.
