Bridleway obstructed by farm vehicles

Reported via desktop in the Passage-Obstructed/Overgrown category anonymously at 12:36, Sunday 24 October 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3081055.

Sub-contractors engaged by the farmers renting the grazing land in this area are not being informed that they are travelling over a bridleway and must give way and not harass walkers on the bridleway. Welford Parish Council has received reports of vehicles blocking the bridleway and refusing to move, claiming it is their right of way as it provides access to a farm. Could you please contact either the landowner or those who are renting this land of their obligations under the 1980 Highway Act. Registration details of offending vehicles available on request.
