Footpath blocked without sufficient diversion information
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category anonymously at 18:17, Tue 26 October 2021
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3086363.
By law it is required that signage detailing the works (timescale) and provide sufficient diversion information have to be supplied for the pedestrians affected, however none of the above has been completed by the council, as of now the blocking of this pathway is illegal.

Thank you for contacting Northamptonshire Highways. We closed the footpath under an emergency closure when we were made aware of the weakened parapet, which is why there was no advance warning. We have instructed our sub-contractor to install a signed diversion route for pedestrians, until the repair works are carried out. We are contractually obliged to carry out repairs to bridges within 24 months, but anticipate the works will be completed by Spring 2022.
