Fence damaged in the wind leaning across footpath

Tornado at the weekend has caused the fence to buckle and lean across footpath causing a partial obstruction. Access from high street after Stags Head Pub, walk through horse field, I think it’s after the 3rd gate (narrow pathway)

  • We have been informed of a change of landowership at this location. We have now contacted the landowner we velive is responsible for this fence line. Improvement works to be carried out to the fence line within the next 28 days.

    The damaged fence has been replaced with a new fence consisting of barbed wire now on both sides of a narrow footpath that is a danger to users of the right of way. Action needs to be taken in order to ensure that the public footpath is safe to use.

  • Thank you for your comments. I can confirm that the landowner has been contacted regarding this matter and has been asked to remove the line of barbed wire alongside the footpath within the next 28 days.
