Vegetation overgrown onto footpath in places between Herbert Gardens and Senna Drive, but especially at this point where pyracantha thorns protrude over half the path at eye level; overgrown from this year's growth.

Thank you for your enquiry. We understand that you have concerns about overgrown vegetation in this area. Whilst we appreciate your comments, the location of the vegetation that you have identified is not on the adopted highway. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the private landowner to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Nevertheless, we have written to the landowner requesting that the vegetation is cut back from the footway within the next 14 days. We will endeavour to revisit the site following the two weeks’ notice period.

Following another visit to the site we can confirm that some of the vegetation has been attended to. The areas that still require attention will now be passed on to the relevant department for further enforcement action. Thank you for your patience and for bringing this matter to our attention.
