Reinstated my concrete drive with inferior materials
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3119433.
The contactors carrying out work in the area after 3 attempts said the would fill the channel they created for the works being carried out on my concrete drive at the rear of my property. They have eventually filled this trench BUT with an inferior material. I witnessed the guy hand mixing this in a barrow. It appears to be just a mix of cement & sharp sand, certainly not strong concrete as per the drive material. I've spoken with a builder and a chap that worked for Beds Highways Dept. and they both say this is not a suitable substitute and with a couple of good frosts it would probably just break up more likely after driving over it a few times. I need this re done using proper strong CONCRETE as per the rest of my drive, before the contractors all disappear I would add that we had no prior notice of all this work to be carried out ( Cadent have previously notified everyone about the disruption expected when they carry out work with the gas mains, so why not these contractors? ) I hope you will send someone out to view this poor reinstatement and get contractors to do this properly with the proper material Thanks

City Fibre Highways Inspector has visited and this has been passed with a caveat that it will be monitored over next 2 year WARRANTY period
