  • I live in St James Close and no one has done anything about this land since it was sold and problem increasing over time. Prams and people with mobility problems cannot negotiate this. I am an older person and walking in uneven grass part, often muddy, is particularly difficult.

  • Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the vegetation in this area; specifically overgrown shrubbery obstructing the pavement. Whilst we appreciate your comments, the location of the vegetation that you have identified is not on the adopted highway. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the private landowner to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Nevertheless, we have written to the resident requesting that the vegetation is cut back within the next 28 days.
