Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3145813.
The drain on the road outside the old Boothville post office was covered over with tarmac when the pot holes were filled in. The men when approached said “they didn’t do drains”. This leads to large puddles by the kerb and the excess water now runs down the side of the Boothville Community centre and creates a large pool of water at the bottom of the access road. In winter this water is going to freeze and make it difficult for the users of the BCC to safely walk to the entrance. The drain needs uncovering and bringing back into use. I have enclose a screen shot of the the map with the correct position of the drain as the map on the website doesn’t show the drain to which I am referring.

Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the drainage in this section of road. Whilst we appreciate your comments, the location of the vegetation that you have identified is not on the adopted highway. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the adjacent private landowner to maintain and is outside Northamptonshire Highways’ control. Apologies we are not able to assist further.
