Hazardous parking near school

Reported via desktop in the Verges - Damaged by Vehicles category anonymously at 11:35, Mon 29 November 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3149258.

Vehicles parking on 'grass' verge while dropping children off at school. This is right before the corner to Tweed close and is a hazard to pedestrians, the road is very busy at these times, hardcore is pressent on the verge which has killed the grass and is encoraging parking. Suggestion to add a Northamptonshire Highways "Do not park on Grass Verge" sign on lampost acros the road, as its near the school &/or re-seed the verge and remove hardcore that is present.

  • Thank you for your request for a “Do not park on the verge” sign to be located on Park Road near the junction of Tweed Close to deter parking on the verge in the vicinity of the School. Although we no longer generally use these signs to deter verge parking we still use these if there is an issue in the vicinity of a School. We will therefore arrange for a sign to be installed as suggested.
