Lancaster Way Roundabout causing problems with cars slipping 360 degrees

Reported via desktop in the Icy Road category anonymously at 11:38, Tue 30 November 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3151217.

I'm being told by residents of Buckingham Fields, the older and newer Lancaster Way residents that the new roundabout surface is causing problems with cars slipping 360 degrees in the little bit of ice/snow we've had so far. It will get worse if the weather gets worse

I'm unsure as to whether this has been adopted or not. Is this Barry Howard Homes responsibility or is it Highways? There is a grit bin but not at the roundabout, it is much further along the road.

  • 15/01/22 - Due to the new road surface leading to the roundabout at the Barry Howard estate my son’s car slid early this morning. The new surface has caused numerous issues.
