Reported via mobile in the Signal Failure category anonymously at 15:45, Thu 2 December 2021
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3155778.
Roadworks on Roadworks on Harborough Road North. Temporary traffic lights not working properly. One side (going towards Boughton) not changing, or changing to green and straight back to red. Stuck for 30 minutes until drivers gave up and went through on red. Dangerous as cannot see oncoming traffic. I’m sick of sitting in traffic.

I have read the details in regards to this road closure and totally understand the reasons behind the closure. But surely those in control of these temporary lights need to ensure they are working on a regular basis. I see an earlier report saying the lights were not working correctly. I have travelled up and down this route 4 times a day this week. The lights were not operating on at least 3 occasions, causing traffic chaos. Can those who ment to be in control of these lights ensure they are working continuously. A 5 min journey to 25 this morning. Sat waiting for inefficient lights to change.

A disgrace. Still the same problem. 6th December. Traffic queueing back to Pitsford.

I’m not sure what it takes to get this escalated. These traffic lights will cause an accident. When I originally logged this on here I also emailed energetics who are showing as the ones responsible for the lights (no response) and I phoned the council. Beyond frustrated that this hasn’t been fixed.
