Excessive salt again and again !!!!!

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3163648.
This is the third time in a week and it has GOT to be resolved !!! My home, my car and my pets are all at risk of being damaged by dumping !!!! Massive excesses of salt/ grit outside MY property only !!! It’s as if it’s being done on purpose as I have walked the entire village of Pattishall after each incident and no salt / grit to be seen !!!’ Obviously the correct amount everywhere else . I want someone to visit my property and if possible go out with the fritter drivers to find out what the hell Is happening !!! The parish council cannot help me and every year this is becoming more and more of a problem even after I was told it would be resolved last year Really really frustrated, cross and angry I’m sure you wouldn’t want this dumped outside your houses every time the gritted came out. My dogs paws are sore as he has no option than to walk in it. My cat is probably doing the same . My car is pelted with it most nights and it’s all up my front walls and hits my windows Regards again Claire Harper

Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. All gritter drivers have been sent a text message asking them to ensure that they are setting their spinners to the correct road width. We understand that a member of staff attended Church Street on 7th December to check the road condition and spoke to yourself explaining that we would ask the drivers to ensure they are spreading at the correct width, but the road will continue to be treated to make it safe in winter conditions for the traveling public. Northamptonshire Highways grit in accordance to the guidance set by NWSRG (National Winter Service Research Group) and the amount of salt used on each gritting action will vary from 7g/m2 to 15g/m2 dependant on the lowest temperature and the winter hazards forecast on the highway network in Northamptonshire. That being said, we must take on board how this situation made you feel and would like to assure you that your comments will be passed on for further review. It is only through feedback from members of the public, such as yourself, that lessons can be learned and our services improved for the future.
