Flooding across the highway after storms

Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category by John Thomason Flore flood warden at 10:50, Mon 20 December 2021

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3190261.

These two side inlet drains are both blocked, which leads to flooding across the carriageway, and it is dangerous. This has been reported a number of time before, but it is still happening. I have examined these two drains and although they have been sucked out, I think the outlet pipe is blocked because the water takes several hours to drain away. The road rises to the left, so although there is a third drain to the left the water does not run down until it is at least 6" deep further up. In February Anglian water are closing off the main road for about a month, so if your guys can get on to it then it will save you the cost and inconvenience of a road closure. I will try and get the closure dates from AW and let you know, as they tend to move the dates. There is also a problem with the drain on the opposite side which needs attention, and I will report that next.
