Helidon Road NN11 3YZ Culvert and ditch blocked causing water to run across carriageway

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3196192.

From A361 coming from Badby turn right up Helidon Road leading to Charwelton. 1/2 mile up the Helidon road just over the railway bridge there is a ditch that is blocked and a culvert that runs under the road. This is blocked and water is flooding clear across the carriageway.

  • Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the condition of the drains in this location. We note with regret, that you feel they are blocked and may pose a flooding risk. We are pleased to confirm that the problem you have indicated in this location, has a work order to investigate, clean and test the gully. This should hopefully be completed within a months’ time. Please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded. If a flooding emergency occurs, please do not hesitate to contact us on daytime number (08.00-17.00) 0300 126 1000 or for our out of hours team 01604 651074 and this will be treated as a priority. We will also be endeavouring to instruct the adjacent landowner of the ditch to clear this out.
