Two drains blocked between 6 and 8 Woodland Ave causing flooding to road and path on corner. Drains fill up quickly when it rains.. All other drains working okay.

  • Thank you for your enquiry, site visited. Gully crew called out on emergency to clear drainage issue within 24 hours.

    Despite work being done to clear, this is the current state this morning 4th Feb 2022. Both drains still not working and road flooding. I suspect it will need more detailed investigation along the entire length of the pipework.

  • Thank you for your enquiry and for bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you have concerns about the drainage in this area. We can confirm that there are no immediate safety concerns found during our recent inspection. This location has been inspected by our team and there was no standing water and the gullies were operating ok. The water accumulation may be due to a capacity issue. However, please be assured that we will continue to monitor the area as part of our routine inspections during the next heavy rainfall. If a flooding emergency occurs, please do not hesitate to contact us on daytime number (08.00-17.00) 0300 126 1000 or for our out of hours team 01604 651074 and this will be treated as a priority.
