Ivy killing trees

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 3238474.

The ivy has overgrown so much it is starting to kill 2 of the trees in this area. it is at the back of 35 Hillside Avenue, please could they be attended to.

  • Thank you for your enquiry, concerning overgrown ivy potentially killing trees in this area. We can confirm that we have issued for a full tree report to be undertaken, to determine if any tree works are required. This should be completed within the next 6 weeks.

  • Thank you for your patience on this matter. We can confirm that the tree report concluded that no action is necessary at this time, there were no significant risk features observed that could compromise the health of these trees, or the safety of highway users. On this basis, no remedial works to address safety issues are considered necessary at this time. Please be assured that we will continue to monitor the area as part of our routine highway inspections.
